The Carbon Frame
The weight advantage is real, because carbon fiber is lighter than the plastic used in most mask frames of this size. Over a session of duck dives and surface intervals, that saved weight is one less thing your neck and forehead are carrying.
The fragility caveat is equally real. Carbon fiber doesn't flex under impact. It cracks. Don't throw this mask into your bag unprotected. Don't set it lens-down on a boat rail. Travel with it in a padded case.
Volume and Fit
The Drop sits in the same volume range as the Omer Alien, approximately 60-65ml. The performance advantage over a twin-lens mask like the Cressi Nano is meaningful at depth: less air exhaled into the mask per dive cycle, more oxygen staying in your blood where it matters.
The fit follows the same pattern as other low-volume masks: narrow-to-average face profiles seal well, wider profiles need to try before buying. Do the suction test before your first dive.
